In life, she was always the center of her family, in death, we find that she brings us all together again. Her legacy will be the strong personality, determination and sense of humor she bequeathed to her family. We are all better for having been a part of her life and we will miss her.

Thelma Fern Davis Haslam, mother and grandmother passed away March 24, 1999 at the Salt Lake Home. She was born August 3, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas Charles and Ethel Dyer Davis. She was the fourth child in a family of twelve children. Fern married Don Carlos Haslam August 6, 1929. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1977.Fern was active in the LDS Church and she and Don were sealed together after his death. She worked five years at Bob's Variety in Rose Park but devoted her life and energies to her family. She was a fantastic cook and her family will always remember her beautiful voice as she and Don harmonized at the piano.

She is survived by four children, Thomas James (Pauline) of Bountiful, Utah; Don Carlos (Karren) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Pam Gorrell (Don) of Belmont, California; and Michael Gordon (Angie) of Salt Lake City, Utah; 12 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, four sisters and two brothers. Preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and one grandchild.

Services will be held Saturday, March 27th 1999 at 1 p.m. at the Rose Park First Ward (East Chapel), 1153 W. 800 N. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Russon Brothers Mortuary.
