Always interested, ever learning, but first and foremost a teacher, Herbert J. White has left an impressive legacy at his passing on March 25, 1999. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Hiatt, and survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Cornella Hill.Herbert has been called a "jack of all trades and a master of many." Some of the skills and accomplishments he has blessed his family with include woodcarving, carpentry, jewelry making and lapidary. He taught in the public schools for over thirty years. He was also known as an inventor, beekeeper, farmer, handyman and rock hound.

Herbert J. White was a man of honor, integrity and positive work ethics. He has set a wonderful example for his surviving six children, 32 grandchildren, and 36 great- grandchildren. He has left an indelible impression on us all.
