Vero Leon Hunsaker, 77, passed away March 24, 1999, in Orem Utah.
Born on October 8, 1921, in Honeyville, Utah, Vero was the second of five children of Leon Peter and Mary Catherine Hunsaker. He spent his early years in Honeyville and Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School. Vero was a Navy Sea Bee during World War II, serving in both Africa and the Pacific. Most of his adult years were spent in Burbank, California where he was Vice President and General Manager of The Water Services division of Universal Oil Products. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Vero has served numerous church callings including three bishoprics, and was a member of the High Council in the Suncrest Stake in Orem.He is survived by his wife, Jeann, his three sons, Richard Hunsaker, Wellington, Florida; Brent Hunsaker, Highland, Utah; Leslie Hunsaker, Honeyville, Utah; along with 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by two brothers, Pete Hunsaker, Kennewick, Washington; Blaine Hunsaker, Brigham City, Utah; and one sister, Flora Kendell, Morgan, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 29, at 11 a.m. in the Suncrest 9th Ward, 165 South 400 West, Orem. Friends may call Sunday at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, from 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the the church from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Internment will be at Utah State Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.
