What is all the fuss about? I have known for the last 40 plus years, as has anybody else who gives it half a thought, that the only way for a city to obtain an Olympic Games was to sufficiently line the pockets of the IOC members.
I think it is great that maybe something will change, but I'm not going to hold my breath. The only thing that I think will happen or is happening is that there will be a whole lot of posturing and attempts to deflect suspicion off one's self and then, after the mess has blown over, it will be business as usual. The only thing the IOC is really interested in is money. I don't believe they are really interested in the Games except that they are the goose that lays the golden eggs. While I don't approve of how they do business, that is the way they do it. If someone wants to deal with them (the IOC), they have to play according to their rules. That is just the way it works. I don't see how anybody can think anything else.
