HUNTINGTON--Carolyn Nielson Holdaway, 50, returned to our Heavenly Father on March 25, 1999, after a valiant fight with complications from surgery.
Born January 4, 1949, to John C. and Marjorie Nielson in Price, Utah. Married Thomas James Holdaway, May 28, 1971 in the Manti LDS Temple and were blessed with two wonderful children, Melanie and Jason, to make their family complete. Her husband and children were the joy of her life. Everything she did was for her family. She shared her love, talents and was compassionate and kind to everyone, always taking time to help anyone in need. Her example speaks for itself in her unselfish contribution she has given to life and her family. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she held many leadership positions: Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Primary President, plus numerous other leadership position and loved to serve in any way she could. She was so fun loving, would draw everyone to her through her humor and contagious laugh. She was gifted in needle work and was generous in giving her handiwork to others. She also had professional business abilities and was always a dedicated employee and a great asset wherever she worked. This world is a better place because of her. She will be dearly missed but we know she lives in a place free from pain. We look forward to the day when we will be with her again.Survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Melanie; son, Jason; mother, Marjorie Nielson; sisters, Connie Roundy (Scott), Diane Procarione (Kent); brothers, Boyd Nielson (Mary Ellen), Wayne Nielson (Teresa), Ralph Nielson (Loretta), along with many nephews and nieces, all of Huntington, Utah.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 30, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Huntington LDS Chapel. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the chapel in Huntington and one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Huntington Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
