Our beloved Joseph Eluid Miera left us March 26, 1999 to be with our gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the ripe old age of 70.
Born August 5, 1928 in Pinos, New Mexico, son of Elias and Lupita Miera. Married Margaret Martinez; later divorced. Married Viola Gallo; later divorced. Joseph was a proud man and loved life dearly. He also shared his love and compassion with many souls, but his strongest and first love was our Lord, Jesus Christ. He was honored to be chosen to serve his God and Lord as an ordained minister of the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church. He was also happy to be a boilermaker for over 30 years.Dad's final scripture to share with you is: "Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

He is survived by his children, Roberta Davison, Bernice Miera, Rose Barber, Margarita Miera, Joey Miera, and Monica Vigil; brothers, Joe O. Gallegos, Fermin D. Miera, Andy J. Miera, Elias Miera, Alejandro Miera; sister, Ophelia Miera; and many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S.Redwood Rd, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., and again Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
