Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Glen Raymond Webster, passed away in Salt Lake City in his home on Friday, March 26, 1999 at the age of 83 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born May 19, 1915 in Gridley, California. He was the youngest of seven children born to Frank Matthew Webster and Sarah Mabel Haun. He married Catherine Marie Christensen on March 23, 1940. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Glen and Catherine just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Glen retired from a successful career as a salesman for Lawson Plumbing Supply Company. He enjoyed golf, fishing, travel and gardening. He was known for his beautiful yard, especially his rose garden. Active member of the LDS church and held several callings. His most cherished time was spent with his family on special occasions and family get- togethers. Glen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.He is survived by his wife, Catherine; daughter, Karren (Larry) Keller; son, Jeff (Pat) Webster; and daughter, Tina (Dave) Koch; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughters, Gladys Ann (Gerri) Webster and Cathleen (Cathy) McDonald, parents and siblings.
Sincere appreciation is expressed by family for the sensitive, excellent, caring services provided by Hospice staff and volunteers.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 30, 1999 at the Valley View Chapel, located at 2125 Evergreen Avenue (3435 South). Family and friends may call Monday, March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 1300 South 2350 East, Salt Lake City, or Tuesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the Valley View Chapel prior to services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn.
