BOUNTIFUL--Burton Orton Chambers, our wonderful husband, daddy, brother and grandpa, passed away at his home in Bountiful on Friday, March 26, 1999.

Burt was born in Ogden on September 19, 1921 to Parley Burton and Ellen Orton Chambers. He was the second child in a family of seven children. He married Helen Salisbury in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 5, 1943.Burt was a veteran of World War II where he served as a Technical Sergeant in the Army Airforce. He retired from Utah Power & Light Company where he diligently worked for 38 years. He and his wife, Helen, are currently serving the LDS church as Stake Missionaries for the Bountiful Central Stake. Burt devoted his life and energies to his family.

He enjoyed laughing with his grandchildren, gardening, reading mystery novels, listening to his Hamm radio and playing with his computer. Some of his favorite past times included riding horses, working on a farm, hunting and studying Real Estate. Burt was a hard worker who believed in fiercely accepting any challenge. Though afflicted with various health problems throughout his life, he bore them with courage and strength. He always greeted people with a smile and a quick wink of his eye.

Surviving are his loving wife, Helen; his five children and their spouses, Robert and Jackie Chambers, Carolyn and Brent Blundell, Eugene and Judy Chambers, Marilyn and Dan Shaffer, and Patti and John Reese; his 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild will also miss him. Also surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Thomas (June) Barker, Clara Holmes, Mae Kenley, Mrs. Lloyd (Betty) Kenley and his brother, Earl (Devon) Chambers. His sister, Vera Norman and two grandchildren, Shalese and Brian Blundell, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wed. March 31, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the Bountiful 2nd Ward, 650 S. 200 E. in Bountiful, Utah. Family and friends may call Tues. at the Linquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E., 6-8 p.m. and Wed. at the church from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
