Glenna Gardner, age 51, beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, teacher and friend, passed away Saturday, March 27, 1999, after a seven and a half year battle with cancer.

She was born December 21, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Sterling G. And Mary Patterson Webber. She graduated from Olympus High School, the U of U, and masters degree from BYU. She married A. Lee Gardner on May 25, 1979 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they have enjoyed raising three fine young men.The Lord blessed Glenna to be a skillful and wise teacher. She had the ability to help children recognize and achieve their potential. She taught in the Granite School District, Salt Lake; Fairfax, Virginia, and set up the counseling center for elementary schools in Laredo, Texas. Though Glenna has received awards for her teaching, her greatest reward was the influence she had on children. Children were always first. Glenna loved reading and writing poetry.

She is survived by her husband, Lee; sons, John, Justin, and Jim; brothers, John (Debbie), Jerry (Roseanne), Jim (Sarah), David; many beloved nieces and nephews, her ward family and many close friends.

Funeral services Wednesday, March 31st, 12 noon, Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 South Wasatch Drive (2425 East). Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the services at the ward.

Those who would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers may do so to the University of Utah Division of Oncology.
