Species (8 p.m., Ch. 2): Broadcast premiere of this 1995 action/horror flick about a gorgeous/horrible monster. How much the R-rated film has been cut for TV remains to be seen -- CBS has rated it TV-14, with warnings for language, sex and violence.
Spin City (8 p.m., Ch. 4): Mike tries -- with little success -- to make the mayor seem like a tough guy. (Repeat)
Just Shoot Me (8 p.m., Ch. 5): Nina's feud with a rival makes the papers when the two women get physical. (Repeat)
Facing the Truth with Bill Moyers (8 p.m., Ch. 7): Compelling, repellant, two-hour documentary in which Moyers travels to South Africa to interview both the victims and the perpetrators of apartheid-era violence and torture, bringing the two sides together.
Felicity (8 p.m., Ch. 30): The WB reruns the show's excellent pilot episode. (Repeat)
Between Heaven and Hell: Hollywood Looks at the Bible (8 p.m. AMC): Interesting (if noncomprehensive) look at the phenomenon, with topics ranging from religious spectaculars like the two versions of "The Ten Commandments" to how the religiously inspired Hayes Code affected filmmaking to movies about the occult -- which are a bit far afield from what the title of this hour indicates.
Sports Night (8:30 p.m., Ch. 4): Art imitates life -- Isaac suffers a stroke, just as the actor who plays him, Robert Guillaume, did back in January. (Guillaume is expected to return to the series -- at least on a limited basis -- by the end of the season.)
Will & Grace (8:30 p.m., Ch. 5): Grace wants to get a dog, and Will is adamantly against the idea. (Repeat)
NBA basketball (8:30 p.m., Ch. 14): Utah Jazz at Sacramento Kings
NYPD Blue (9 p.m., Ch. 4): This show wasn't supposed to be back for another three weeks, but "Strange World" bombed so badly it was yanked after half its scheduled six-week run. We're getting three "Blue" reruns starting tonight with Sipowicz showing Sorenson the ropes. (Repeat)
Dateline (9 p.m., Ch. 5): A report on identical twins who, despite being separated at birth, are remarkably similar as adults.
The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn (11:35 p.m., Ch. 2): Kilborn takes over as the host of this late-night series.
