Sacramento Kings forward Chris Webber was released from a hospital after being treated for a severe flu virus, the team said.

Webber, who is averaging a team-leading 20 points and a National Basketball Association-best 13 rebounds, was admitted to the UC Davis Medical Center on Sunday night by team doctor Jeff Tanji.Tests revealed a severe flu virus, which doctors treated by administering continuous intravenous fluids. Webber will continue his recovery at home, where he is still receiving treatments.

Webber's status for Tuesday's game against the Utah Jazz hasn't been determined, the team said.
