Tourists in Estes Park, Colo, enjoy the opportunity to see a pair of elk up close on Sunday. The elk come down from higher elevations to look for easy grazing in the area as snow begins to melt. Elks "cruising Main" have become a common sight this time of year. Meanwhile, in Yellowstone National Park to the north, officials report that elk herd numbers have remained stable this winter, despite the reintroduction of wolves in 1995 and 1996.
