The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints removed a senior couple and 14 full-time missionaries from Belgrade, Yugoslavia, March 18, relocating them to Croatia. LDS spokesman Dale Bills called the move "precautionary" in light of the volatility of the area. There were no reports of "extraordinary" actions taking place in missions in Russia or other neighboring areas, Bills said. The church has not received any formal requests for humanitarian aid. The Europe-East Area Presidency is closely monitoring the situation.
