In loving memory of Benjamin Milton Dietrick, age 84, who passed away at his home on March 6, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by his family.
Born January 17, 1915, in Bancroft, Idaho, to Charles Wilhelm and Karen Jensine Sorensen Dietrick. Raised in Soda Springs, Idaho. He married Eva Bernice Poulson on December 31, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ben owned and managed Arrow Roofing and Aluminum Products for 38 years and was a sales engineer for Kool Breeze Awning Co. for 16 years. Served in the Pacific Theater of World War II. Expert rifleman. Avid fisherman and hunter. Loved the north slopes of the Unita Mountains.Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bernice, of Salt Lake City; daughter, Kaye (Darrell) Tripp; son, Duane (Diana) Dietrick; daughter, Carol Lynn (Rex) Law; daughter, Margot (Terry) Lingwall; son, Larry (Carolyn) Dietrick; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, David Deitrick; three sisters, Barbara Wilson, Myrna Lakey, Marie Ann Reyes. Preceded in death by two grandchildren, Todd Hill and Karen Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1999, 11 a.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services.
