VERNAL--Dr. Riley Karl Murri (R.K.), 74, of Vernal, UT passed away March 8, 1999 at the Uintah Basin Hospital.

He was born April 20, 1924 in St. Anthony, Idaho, a son of Ernest and Liza B. Baer Murri. Married Oneta Fullmer on April 16, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was a member of the LDS Church and served in the United States Army during World War II. In his life, R.K. enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially gathering firewood and travel by cruise ship. Upon finishing dental school, he settled his family in Vernal, UT in 1960 where he enjoyed a successful dentist practice until 1989, when he retired.He is survived by his wife, Oneta F. Murri, Vernal, UT; son, Ronald John Murri (Kris), and grandsons, Morgan John Murri all of Vail, CO; and Michal Scot Murri (Susan) of Bozeman, MT; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Cody Murri, both of Milwaukee, WI; brothers, Ernest of Idaho Falls; Dell, Val and Dean of Kimberly, ID; and Robert of Salem, OR; sister, Neda of Salt Lake City, UT. Preceded in death by son, Steven Karl Murri and brother, Warren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at 12 noon in the Vernal 9th Ward Chapel, 250 No. 200 W. in Vernal. Friends may call at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary on Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday morning one hour prior to services at the Chapel. Graveside services will be held at the Cache Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia, Idaho on Thursday, March 11, 1999 with full military honors by the American Legion. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home in Driggs, Idaho at 2 p.m. with burial to follow.
