COLLECTIVE SOUL; "Dosage" (Atlantic). **Collective Soul's "Dosage" album cover shows a woman with her salivating mouth open covered with a bunch of bees. Gross. Who'd want to buy this?

Fans.

That's what will probably happen. Collective Soul's fans will be the only people who care. Not only is the album cover lame, but the music doesn't fare that much better.

It's bland. There's not a lot of emotion. Songs such as "Tremble For My Beloved" and "No More, No Less" just drag through the motions. And the violin-enhanced ballad "No Less" and the Beatlesque "Not the One" just go through the emotions.

Even the rockers are soulless. "Slow" and "Heavy" are dull. And to think the band's breakthrough hit "Shine" was sludge.
