Caroline Eyring Miner, 91, a member of the Young Women General Board from 1948 to 1961, died April 19 in Cedar Hills, Utah. Born in Colonia Juarez, Mexico, she was 1973 Utah Mother of the Year, 1976 Utah Poet of the Year, and twice winner of the Deseret News Christmas Poetry Contest. She was author or co-author of 18 books, and hundreds of poems and essays. She was also the recipient of the Alumni Distinguished Service Award and Distinguished Motherhood Award from BYU.
