ROBINSON ON INJURED LIST: The Milwaukee Bucks placed forward Glenn Robinson on the injured list with a deep bone bruise in his right knee that could force him to miss some playoff games.

Robinson, the team's leading scorer, injured his knee in the first quarter of an April 30 game against Detroit and missed the past two games. He'll also sit out the Bucks' final regular-season game against the New Jersey Nets tonight and his status for the playoffs isn't known, the team said.The Bucks, who currently hold the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race, have to submit a postseason roster to the league on Thursday. The Bucks could drop to seventh place in the conference if they lose to the Nets and Philadelphia beats Detroit tonight.

The 6-foot-7 Robinson, a five-year veteran, averaged a team-high 18.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 47 games this season. He scored in double figures 44 times.

The Bucks also could be without guard Vinny Del Negro when the playoffs begin. Del Negro, who averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 assists in 48 games, was put on the injured list Tuesday with a sprained left ankle.

Milwaukee also signed guard Jerome Allen for the rest of the season. The 6-foot-4 Allen played in France this season, averaging 13 points, 5.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 30 games.

Allen last played in the NBA during the 1996-97 season, averaging three points in 76 games for Indiana and Denver. He spent the 1995-96 season with Minnesota.
