Hazel M. Mastrim, 98 of Salt Lake City, died May 5, 1999.

She was born January 1, 1901 in Riverside, Utah to John Banks and Rosella Hales McOmie. She married Anthony L. Mastrim on June 23, 1919 in Farmington, Utah. He died December 9, 1978. Prior to her marriage she worked as a chocolate dipper for Sweet Candy Company. She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved to travel and enjoyed people. She loved flowers. She enjoyed visits with her family.She will be loved always and missed by her son, Keith A. (Darlene) Mastrim of Salt Lake City; brother, Don (Jeanne) McOmie of Salt Lake City; three grandchildren, Merrily M. (Morris) Kulmer of Bountiful; Randy C. Mastrim of Salt Lake City; and Cali Jo (Rusty) Anderson of Magna; daughter-in-law, Beverly W. Mastrim of Salt Lake City. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ray L. Mastrim.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas A. Kurrus for the special attention he paid to Hazel for the last 15 years and the Willow Wood Care Center for their kind and loving care of Hazel for the past six years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 941 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street. Friends may call Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South.
