Feds, state signing pact to improve trails in Utah

Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Forest Service will sign a memorandum of understanding, Saturday, June 5, on National Trails Day to create a partnership to improve trails.

In a 9 a.m. ceremony at the Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitor Center, the two organizations will pledge cooperation to improve the trails in Wasatch Mountain State Park and in the Uinta National Forest.The public is invited attend the ceremony and enjoy a free continental breakfast.

After the ceremony, some day hikes, mountain biking and for a small fee, horseback riding will be available, from 10 a.m. to noon.
