OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- George Williams' pinch-hit, three-run triple highlighted a six-run eighth inning Wednesday that gave Salt Lake an 11-8 victory over Oklahoma in the Pacific Coast League.
Williams got his hit off Steve Frey, who came on in relief of Eric Moody (3-3). Moody had started the inning in place of starter Brandon Knight, but was replaced after two singles, a walk and a hit batsman.The Buzz got home runs from Jeff Ferguson and Eddie Williams to take a 3-0 lead in the third. But Oklahoma scored four in the bottom of the third, three on a homer by Andy Barkett, and made it 6-3 in the fourth on back-to-back homers by Pedro Valdes and John Marzano.
Ferguson went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs.
Jeff Harris (3-2), the third of five pitchers, was the winner and Dave Carroll got the save.
