Obituary: Herbert E. ""Herb"" Longman

Loving Husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home by his Heavenly Father June 7, 1999.

Herb was born July 1, 1907 in HullYorkshire, England, to Herbert and Ethel Chapman Longman.Married Naomi May December 24, 1936, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple October 2, 1950.

Herb was a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple for ten years and held many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his loving wife Naomi, son Robert E. Longman, daughter-in-law Karen Plunkett, brother Jack Longman and sister Kitty Tomlin. Grandchildren; Deborah K. Longman, Scott R. Longman, Robert E. Longman, Jeffery S. Longman, Heather S. Williams, Gregory D. Longman, Brittney A. Longman and Adam R. Longman and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by son Dennis J. Longman, two infant sons, one infant daughter, and two infant grand-daughters, mother, father, brother Leslie Longman, and two sisters, Ethel Foster and Margaret Reed.

The family wishes to thank Healthsouth and home care nurses for the tender loving care that was given to Herb.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 12 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, viewing one hour prior to service. 4670 S. Highland Dr. Viewing Friday June 11, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who wish to make a contribution to the Oak Hill Ward Missionary Fund.
