Tourney to raise funds for Special Olympics

HILL AIR FORCE BASE -- Special Olympics athletes will be the beneficiaries of a Utah National Guard golf tournament slated for Friday.

The Guard's 115th Maintenance Company and the soldiers' Family Support Committee will host the fifth annual Special Olympics Benefit Golf Tournament on Hill Air Force Base's Hubbard Golf Course. The event starts at 8:30 a.m."The tournament has raised more than $13,000 for Utah Special Olympians since its beginning," said Lt. Col. Bryan Odekirk, spokesman for the Guard.
