Obituary: Richard Jensen (Dick) Miller

In the early morning hours of June 8th, 1999 our husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 83.

Born October 18, 1915 in Salt Lake City to Alfred Oscar Miller and Antoinette Jensen. He was one of 11 children. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force. He married Ruth C. Walters, later divorced. On August 26, 1961 he married Marie Swenson in Elko, NV. They had two daughters. Retired in 1981 from Hanson Stone. He enjoyed golf, bowling and following his beloved JAZZ.He is survived by his loving wife Marie, daughters Mary Ann Williams (Steve) of Draper, and Karen Rohner (Eric) of Vista CA. Step son, Dan Walters (Linda) of Elmendorf, TX, brother Raymond J. Miller, will miss him as will his seven grandchildren, relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank those at Vista Care Hospice who cared for him along with the doctorsand staff and St. Marks Sr. Health Center, Intermtn. Oncology, and U of U Radiation therapy.

At Dick's request a Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, 11 a.m. at Memorial Estates Mountain View Cemetery, 7800 South 3115 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday, June 11, 1999 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.
