Obituary: Margie Firth Staples

Margie Firth Staples died peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at Godfrey's Foothill Retreat in Brigham City.

She was born in Bothwell, Utah, a daughter of Earl Matthew and Bertha Ann Ray Firth.Margie married Maurice C. Staples on September 19, 1941 in Malad, Idaho. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as Sunday School secretary, dance director with Maurice, and Secretary of the MIA.

Margie had been a bookkeeper and sales clerk at Russ Electric and a secretary at McKinley Elementary School. She was a member of Tremonton Women's Civic Club.

Margie is survived by her husband of Tremonton; one daughter, Kit S. (Leonard) Canfield, and one grandson, Josh Canfield, all of Tremonton, Utah, three brothers; Ray Firth, Paul, Idaho, LeRoy Firth, Bothwell, Utah, Dee Firth, Garland, Utah, two sisters; Vera F. Fuller, Tremonton, Utah,and ReNae F. Hortin, Honeyville, Utah.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 11, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bothwell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Petersen Funeral Chapel, Brigham.
