Ingrid Proband Bowman, age 88, passed away June 10, 1999 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful.
She was born September 4, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Herman and Vivi Selma Sandberg Proband. Ingrid was the eighth of eleven children. She married Reed Bowman, June 30, 1940 in Farmington, Utah. They moved to Bountiful in 1950. They both worked at Western Union Telegraph for many years. Ingrid kept a beautiful yard, was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed doing handwork of all kinds. She was an avid reader and loved mysteries.She is survived by Reed's daughter, Marilyn Hruske of Idaho Falls; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Leckliter of Los Angeles; nephews, Franklin H. Guinn, Jackson P. Guinn and Theodore Guinn, all of Las Vegas; Edward Oscar Leckliter of Los Angeles; niece, Elva Lois Kainz of Ely, MN; and many other loving family members.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, prior to services.
