Obituary: Edwin Clive Day

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Edwin Clive Day, passed away peacefully, June 13, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Clive was born October 30, 1921 in Storrs, Utah, the son of Henry Edwin and Lillian Beal Day. Married Claudia Hunt, December 23, 1956, with whom he spent the next 42 years faithfully by her side, until he left this earthly existence.Clive grew up in Spring Canyon, Utah. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a veteran of World War II, where he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a sheet metal craftsman until he later retired. His greatest love was always his family. Clive was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife: Claudia; son: Michael Scott (Cherie) Day, Littleton, CO; daughter: Tamera Lynn (Brent) Johnson, Draper, UT; seven grandchildren: Mandy, Matthew, Nicole and Megan Day; Amber, Brooke and Cali Johnson; sister, Vonda Wilson, Huntington, UT. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers: Rex and Newell; one sister: Beatrice.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 1999, in the Valley View 1st Ward Chapel, 3900 So. 2000 East. Friends may call Wednesday, June 16 from 6-8 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, and Thursday at the Ward from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
