Obituary: Ilena Muir Richardson Nelson

Ilena Muir Richardson Nelson, 87, passed away June 20, 1999 at the home of her daughter after a three month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born February 5, 1912, Midview, Utah to Thorton Richardson and Martha Timothy Richardson. Married Neal V. Nelson, August 30, 1932 in Kelly, Wyoming. Later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.A lifelong homemaker, loved music. She was active in the LDS Church. Served a Mission to Australia in 1980-81 with her husband.

Preceded in death by husband and daughter, JaNeal Graff.

Survived by son, Manfred (Carol) Nelson, Eager, Arizona; daughter, RaVoe (Gene) Christensen, Salt Lake City; son-in-law, Steve Graff, Salt Lake City; brothers, Weldon (Bertie) Richardson, Jackson, Wyoming; Kenneth (Faye) Richardson, South Jordan; Theron (Helen) Richardson, Onterio, Oregon; stepbrothers, Mark (Helen) Cheney, South Jordan; Jack Cheney, Logan; stepsister, Barbara White; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 1999, 7 p.m. at the Legacy Retirement Residence, 1670 W. Temple Lane (10200 South). Funeral services will be held Monday, June 28, 1999 in Jackson, Wyoming. Interment Aspen Hill Cemetery. Cannon Mortuary, funeral directors.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice or The LDS Church Missionary Fund.
