2 brothers accused of trying to enact murder-for-hire plan

Two Murray brothers were charged Tuesday for allegedly soliciting an undercover police officer in a murder-for-hire plot.

Joseph Lee White, 28, and Tyson Jeremy White, 18, were charged with criminal solicitation to commit aggravated murder, a first-degree felony. Joseph White was also charged for giving false identity to a peace officer, a class C misdemeanor.According to 3rd District Court documents, Joseph White paid an undercover police officer money, provided a knife and drove the officer to where the intended victim lived. He also allegedly gave specific details as to how he was to kill the intended victim, who was a co-defendant in another case with Tyson White, documents state.

Joseph White was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, while Tyson White was already in jail on warrants. Bail for both was set at $500,000 each.
