PRICE--Robert Lane Roundy, 73, passed away June 2, 1999 at Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah.
He was born Feb. 14, 1926 in Escalante, Ut. to Reese and Sarah Rosalie Griffin Roundy. He was married to Carol Arnold Roundy Dec. 16, 1991 in the ProvoTemple.
He had worked for the Salt Lake City Flour Mill, the United Mine Workers and for the LDS Church at the Deseret Coal Terminal. He loved to fish and hunt and just tinker. He was an active member of the LDS church and had served as a bishop in the Salt Lake 25th Ward, and was a long time member of the Price 2nd Ward. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Arnold Roundy of Price, and two daughters, Valerie Roundy of Layton, Shauna (Zeek) Kropf of Elko, NV, two sons, Terry B. (Linda) Roundy of Cache Valley, Randy N. (Connie) Roundy of Salt Lake City. Also two step-daughters, Shauna Fassett of Price, Linda (Trent) Taylor of Red Mesa, CO, and two step-sons, Lon (Susan) Arnold of Logan, Uta., Mark (Xela) Arnold of Orangeville, Ut., two sisters, Marian Foote of St. George, Ut. and Olive Austin of Olympia, Wa. Also 21 grandchildren. He was preceded by his former wife, Myrl Stewart Roundy in Dec. 1990.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, and also from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Price 2nd Ward Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Graveside services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, in Kearns, Utah.
