Obituary: Glen Martin Baker

Glen Martin Baker, 71, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, returned to our Heavenly Father on June 27, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Glen was born on July 8th, 1927, to Ezra Bird and Ethel May Petersen Baker. Glen married Audrey May Stead on May 28, 1948. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 18, 1960. Glen was a loving man who was always there for his loved ones. Glen and Audrey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together. Glen was an active member of the LDS Church and loved his church calling in the extraction of family records. Glen served in the U.S. Army honorably during 1944 to 1947. Glen retired from Kennecott Copper as a meter technician after 36 years. Glen and Audrey raised a large family of six boys and one girl. He has 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.Survivors, wife, Audrey, Kearns; six sons, Martin (LaRee), Bennington, ID; Larry (Jeanette), West Valley; Steven (Cathy), West Valley; Brian, Kearns; Douglas (Carolyn), West Jordan; Gordon (Michelle), Kearns; and one beautiful daughter, Ilene (Darren) Bodily, West Jordan; two brothers, Lynn (Marian), Duchesne; Dean (Joan), West Valley; three sisters, Mrs Roy (LuWana) Halverson, Jerome, ID; Mrs Arthur (Toni) Christensen, Kearns; Mrs William (Carol) Peglau, So. Jordan; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, mother, two brothers and one son.

Funeral services Friday, July 2nd, 11 a.m., Kearns 5th Ward, (Kearns Stake Center), 4860 W. 5015 South, Kearns. Friends and family may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 East, Sandy on Thursday from 6-8 p.m., and also on Friday at the WARD 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
