Gail Jean Johnson, 69, died June 22, 1999 in Salt Lake City after a long illness.
She was born May 3, 1930 at Shelley, Idaho. Her parents are the late Marvin Jesse Bateman and Ida Emma Bateman. She has worked as an administrative officer for the Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, where she received a 20 Years of Service Award in 1988. She had lived in Salt Lake City for the past 10 years.Her hobbies were fishing, camping and outdoor recreation. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son, Steven Johnson of Homer, Alaska; a daughter, Clidene Rene Toman of Roseburg, Oregon; two brothers, J. Reece Bateman of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Floyd Bateman of West Valley City, Utah; three sisters, Carol Robinson of Firth, Idaho; June Williams of Pocatello, Idaho; and Peggy Carlson of South Jordan, Utah; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside Memorial Services were held in Shelley, Idaho on June 26th, in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
