Delos A. Rosenberg, age 93, passed away June 3, 1999 in West Valley City, Utah.Born September 29, 1905 in Centerfield, Utah to Mary Jensen and Albert Rosenberg. Attended schools in Centerfield and Gunnison. Married Mary Verle Buchanan, January 7, 1931 in the Manti Temple. She preceded him in death May 14, 1996.
He was a farmer in his early years of marriage and worked at the Gunnison Sugar Factory. He moved his family to Salt Lake in 1951 as he was working as a Drywall Contractor until he retired in 1968. He and Verle spent a lot of time fishing and gathering wood. He was a Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor for a number of years and a High Priest in the LDS Church.
He always had a fun story to tell of his growing up days that his family liked to hear. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his children: Faunell (Wayne) Hirschi, Glorus Rowley, Gayle (Linda) Rosenberg, Gaylene (Sal) D'Asero, Marilou (Allen) Linton; 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren; brother, Clair E. Rosenberg and sister, Gay R. Childs. Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years; son-in-law, Roland F. Rowley; grandson, William R. Sims II; brothers, Magnus, LaVar and Sheldon; and sisters, Louise Johnson and Ila Kump.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 8, 1999 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates (6500 South Redwood Road), where friends and family may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
