Glacier National ParkWith the exception of Avalanche campground, which opens June 18, Logging Creek campground and Quartz Creek campgrounds, which open July 1, campgrounds in Glacier National Park will be open by June 1. Operating dates for Two Medicine campground have yet to be announced. It is still covered with snow as are major portions of the Many Glacier campground. Campgrounds will close on various dates in September. Going-to-the-Sun Road at Logan Pass is not yet open. Crews have encountered deep snow and even deeper drifts. Presently, the road is open on the east side from St. Mary to Jackson Glacier overlook. On the west side, it is open for 25 miles to "the loop."
