Obituary: Lianne K. Parks

Our loving mother and grandmother, Lianne K. Parks, passed away Thursday, June 3, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Lianne was born on April 28, 1929 in Hollywood, California to her father John Henry Kruse and her mother Micky Kruse. She was raised in Encino, California, where she was crowned Miss Encino. She graduated from Canoga Park High School, where she was student body Vice President and Valedictorian. She married Edmund J. Loritz after graduating and had three children: Gary, Kathleen and David. She raised her family in Woodland Hills, California until 1963. She moved with her children from California to Park City, Utah that year. Lianne had several businesses including an art gallery, hotel business, and she worked at the Park City ski resort. In 1965, she married William Parks. Lianne moved to Holladay, Utah in 1967 where she started her sales representing company, Lee Parks Sales. Lianne's company flourished in the intermountain area u ntil her retirement in 1996.Lianne will be remembered for her love of family and the great outdoors of Utah and Montana. She loved gardening and landscaping her beautiful yard. She also had a wonderful talent for cooking and entertaining.

Survived by her mother, Mickey Kruse, ex-husband, Edmund J. Loritz, her children; Gary Loritz, David Loritz, Kathleen Loritz-Mechling and her son-in-law: Ed Mechling; brother, John Henry Kruse, sister, Marianne Kraft; grandchildren Gordon Loritz, and Sarah Loritz. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at the Holladay United Church of Christ, 2631 East Murray Holladay Road. Family and friends will gather at Lianne's home after the service.
