Florence Elsie Giles Tuttle, age 63, of Springville died Sunday, June 6, 1999, in Springville after a short battle with cancer.
She was born May 19, 1936, in Provo to John Golden and Mary Louise Shepherd Giles. She married Harold Strong Tuttle on July 13, 1951, in Provo. He died July 19, 1982.She was a professional seamstress and had worked on costumes for Fred Astaire and BYU Ballroom Dance Company. She was known for her integrity and hard work. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a bit of a prankster. She loved family get-togethers and being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by five children, Jay Harold (Linda) Tuttle of Ogden, Cathy Tuttle Nielsen of Springville, Carol Tuttle (Jay) Barney of Pleasant Grove, Brent Lynn (Michelle) Tuttle of Provo, John Byron (Valene) Tuttle of Springville; 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Charles Giles of Heber, Dale Giles of Salt Lake City, Darrell Giles of Orem, Elaine Smith of Heber, Annette Young of Heber.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Kolob LDS Stake Center, 1250 South 550 East. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
