KANAB, Utah--Nora Shumway Frost, age 98, died Monday, August 2, 1999 in Kanab, Utah.

Born May 7, 1901 in Kanab to Elizabeth Ann Robinson and Jedidiah Grant Bird Shumway. She married Dee Frost in 1959. He died in 1970. Nora graduated from Kanab High School and later from BYU with a 2 year teaching certificate. She taught in Tropic and Fielding, Utah, then served a mission in California for the LDS Church. After returning, she taught school in Salt Lake City for many years. She loved teaching, especially about the Book of Mormon, and was an avid reader of all church publications.Survivors include her sisters, Grace Mathis of St. George and Iva Don Remund of Midway, Utah. She was preceded by her husband; two brothers, Merlin and Preston Shumway, and sisters, Mary Bunting and infant, Lena Shumway.

Services will be held Saturday, August 7, 1999 at 12 noon in the Kanab Utah South Chapel, 604 South Highway 89A. Where friends may call from 10:30-11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in the Kanab City Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
