CLEARFIELD--Victor Hammond Fisher, age 80, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 1999.

He was born January 23, 1919 in Burley, Idaho, the son of Martin Ray and Emma May Burgess Fisher. He married Velma Garringer on February 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on August 4, 1961. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was a member of the LDS Church. He worked at the Naval Base and Hill Air Force Base retiring after 36 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping and photography. He was a Home Teacher, a Senior Citizen Volunteer, over 2000 hours and worked for the C C Camp. He also received a special award from the governor. He had lived in Salt Lake City, Clearfield, Brigham City and Layton.He is survived by four sons, Victor Kevin (Rhonda) Fisher, Sunset; Kurt Robin (Vickie) Fisher, Layton; Claude Kim Fisher, Clearfield; Jon Kelly (Darlene) Fisher, Syracuse; four daughters, Velma Karren (Don) Bott, Moreland, ID; Valeria Kenna Henderson, Roy; Karla May (Phill) Nelson, West Valley; Wendy Kay (Joe) Burger, Harrisville; an honorary son, George Cherry; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Sat., August 7, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 S. 1900 West. Friends and family may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park.
