Luella Althea Tippetts Wilson of Springville, UT passed away Thursday, December 30, 1999 at the age of 90 years.

She was born July 15, 1909 in Lake Shore, UT to Joseph Alva Tippetts and Sarah Permelia Lewis. She married her sweetheart Robert L. Wilson on June 15, 1927 in the Manti LDS Temple.Luella grew up in Benjamin, UT graduating from Spanish Fork High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions, including Primary President and Relief Society President (four times). She and her husband served two missions for the LDS Church, one in Hawaii for three years and the second in St. George for one year. She was dedicated to serving her family and everyone she knew. She was a member of the Mussetts singing group and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for many years. She gave readings and performed in plays. Luella and R.L. spent a lot of time with their children. Recreation went from work, camping, hunting, motorcycles, airplanes and skiing. It was fun to be together and enjoy each others company. Luella's motto was "just enjoy".

She is survived by children, Wilbur (Merilyn) Wilson, Cedar City; Arlea Tolboe, Orem; Arnold (Joyce) Wilson, Mapleton; Alena Lou Wilson (daughter-in-law), Springville; Keith (Lesley) Wilson, Mapleton. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 113 great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren. Luella was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Wilson and her son Gene Wilson, also her parents, four brothers, two sisters, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Kolob 4th Ward Chapel, 451 South Main, Springville, UT. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville or at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
