Together Again

Grafton C. (Rass) Bowles, 90, our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, joined his eternal companion, Janice, on December 31, 1999.He was born June 3, 1909 in Herriman, Utah to Grafton Ann Bowles and Edith Lillian Lavinia Walker. On February 10, 1938, Rass married Janice Donna Hansen. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Janice passed away December 27, 1988. Rass was a longtime resident of Midvale and was employed by Harvey Eckman Construction and Gene's Building Materials. An active member of the LDS Church, he served as ward clerk, ward choir member and was a member of the Olympus Male Choir. He made many new and dear friends at the Crosslands and Golden Living Retirement Centers.

Survivors: children, Bill Bowles (Myrna), Cedar City; Sharon (Dale) Tischner, South Jordan; Dixie (Kit) Collings, West Valley City; 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers and sister, John "Jack", James "Jim" (Ione), Edna (Nephi) Butterfield, Robert I. (Nola), Trussler (Johanna), Arvid (Joyce), Theron (LaDean), Julian (Marge). Preceded in death by brother, Sam; sisters, Viola, Vera.

Funeral services Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 3rd & 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 7825 S. Olympus Street. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
