Clyde L. (Andy) Anderson, age 82, died January 1, 2000.
Born December 29, 1917, in Gunnison, Utah, to Lloyd L. and Lillian Childs Anderson. Married Joyce I. Stauffer on October 15, 1955.Prominent radio executive, avid golfer, fisherman and an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He attended Westminster College and University of Utah, graduating in 1940. He affiliated with Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He served as president of Oakridge Country Club in 1963.
Survived by his loving wife, Joyce; six sons and their wives, Steven L. (Nancy), Craig L. (Louise), Todd C. (Peggy), C. Drew (Shiela), and Jeffrey L. Anderson, all of Salt Lake City; one son, John R. (Terri) of Evans, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, Allison, Scott, Bret, Brad, Justin, Kimberly, Heidi, Christopher, and Adam Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Courtney, Scott, Alexander, Coleton and Jaden.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers Odel Anderson, Dr. Gage Anderson, and one beautiful granddaughter Heather Anderson.
The family extends a very special thanks to Dr. Gerald Krueger, Dr. Handi Farrukh, Wolfram Samlowski, Dr. Summers and Dr. Irving Ershler (deceased), for their effort to make life easier for Clyde. They were not only his doctors, but also his friends.
A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, on Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, from 6-8 p.m. Private family services and entombment at Larkin Sunset Lawn. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in his name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
