Edith Jamison Blanpied (88) passed away Sept. 26th in Salt Lake City following lingering health problems.

Born May 12, 1912 in Salt Lake City, she was the daughter of Annie Maddick and John C. Jamison.

Sincere apprecia-tion is expressed to the care-givers as the Highland Care Center who provided excellent and expert attention for the last few months of her life.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she fulfilled two missions for the church. As a young woman (1937-39), she served in the Canadian Mission. In the late 1980s, as a senior citizen, she served a Temple Mission in Dallas, Texas.

A beloved school teacher, Edith taught kindergarten and second grade in the Eastwood and Millcreek schools. Her teaching career spanned thirty years.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Judy Rae Wasson (Mrs. Daniel A.) of Sandy; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Viewing is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 29th from 7-9 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E. in Sandy. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 30th at 11 a.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 1001 E. 11th Ave. in Salt Lake City. Viewing is also slated for an hour before the services at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple in Salt Lake City.
