BYU 34, Utah 27

RECORD: 4-7, 3-4 Mountain West Conference

OFFENSE: Too sluggish for too long. It gained only 3 net yards on only 10 plays in the first quarter, and while it had a 97-yard second quarter thanks to Chris Christensen's 56-yard career-best catch, it put only three first-half points on the board while its two turnovers led to nine BYU points in the half. A strong second half didn't quite make up for the first. GRADE: C-

DEFENSE: Scored a quick touchdown on Andre Dyson's 24-yard interception return, then made mistakes at critical times to let BYU keep moving the ball and scoring. GRADE: C-

SPECIAL TEAMS: Did the best of all Utah units, Ryan Kaneshiro making two field goals and all three PATs, Patrick Dyson returning three kicks for 56 yards and Steve Smith returning four punts for 47 yards. BYU got 40 yards on two kick returns. GRADE: B-

UP NEXT: Season over.
