Grant Griffin, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2000.

Born April 1, 1917 in Clarkston, Utah to Catherine Lovina Myler and Thomas Henry Griffin. He attended school in Clarkston and was a graduate of North Cache High School. Married Evelyn Francine Kofoed on April 12, 1939 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were residents of Logan, Utah for 32 years before moving to Salt Lake City to be near their children. Grant served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a life-member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, having membership for 50 years. His enjoyment in life came from his family, gardening and the outdoors.

Preceded in death by his only son, Craig; three brothers and sisters. Grant is survived by his wife, Evelyn and four daughters, Katherine Hardman (Mel); Harriet Matkin (Roger); Vikki Isom (Randy); Trudy Case (Steve); a daughter-in-law, Jeanine Griffin; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Joe Griffin (Berneice) and two sisters, Julia Woolley and Leah Cottle (Gordon).

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2000, 12 noon at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, where family and friends may call on Monday 6-7 p.m. and on Tuesday 10:45-11:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
