Joseph Luciano Gallegos, beloved

husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Midvale on November 29, 2000.

He was born in Servilleta, New Mexico to Luciano Gallegos Sr. and Vivianita Jaramillo.

On July 19, 1945, he married Rumalda Roma Dominguez in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joe was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and was a Locomotive Engineer for Kennecott Copper for 44 years. A Veteran of World War II, he served in the Seventh Fleet on the USS Uvalde (Aka88) where he was awarded the Bronze Star for bringing down an enemy plane.

He also wrestled as a representative for his ship. He loved to go hunting, camping and enjoying the outdoors.

Survivors: wife, Roma; son, Richard L.; daughter, Shirley (Benney) Raybal; four granddaughters and three grandsons; also one great grandson and one great granddaughter; sister, Rosa Grigo. Preceded in death by a son, Daniel Floyd; an infant daughter, Darlene.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 2, 2000 at 10 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church 7832 So. Allen St., Midvale. Holy Rosary will be recited Friday at the church at 7:30 p.m. and friends may call at the church from 6-7:30 p.m. Interment,

Midvale City Cemetery.
