Mary Grace Jackson, age 80, died Nov. 28, 2000 at her home in Salt Lake City.

She was born Oc-tober 10, 1920 in Centerfield, Utah to James Christian and Mary Ethel Fjelsted Nielsen. She was raised in Centerfield and attended Snow College and BYU. She married George S. Jackson June 9, 1949 in Las Vegas, Neva-da. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She was a dedicated 1st grade teacher in the Tooele schools for 30 years. She also served in the Primary many years.

She is survived by her husband, George, a son James, and a daughter Mary Jo (Charles) Alexander all of Salt Lake City; a granddaughter, Mary Ellen (Joshua) Wharton of Logan; and a brother, Edgar Nielsen, Centerfield; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond and a sister, Marjorie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Dec. 1, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Tooele 5th LDS ward 196 N. Pinehurst. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary 110 S. Main St. Tooele from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
