Marsalette Rachael Cecil Daly passed away on Nov. 28, 2000 due to complications from Lymphoma.

She was born to Fred and Maggie Goforth on Jan. 4, 1920 in Warren, Arkansas and grew up in Mississippi. She graduated from Nursing School in Greenwood, Mississippi, where she was class valedictorian. She married

Robert G. Cecil in 1944 and moved to Salt Lake City in 1946. They had three daughters, Suzanne, Katherine, and Louise. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1967, grandson Michael Stephens, sisters, Polly and Freddie Lee, and brothers Will, Paul, Alton, and her infant twin brother. "Marcie" married Richard Daly in 1990, he being a

long time fellow church member. Marcie was employed at LDS Hospital before she retired in 1990. She worked in numerous areas including the Surgery Recovery Room and

most recently the outpatient surgical hospital. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality and ability to make friends wherever she was. Her love for her family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a source of

great comfort to her and to her family. Marcie was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Salt Lake City where she worked and served faithfully for many years in many capacities including teaching Sunday School. It was apparent from her words and actions that the Holy Spirit lived in her heart. She was one of God's most faithful servants. She always served others with such joy. We thank God for giving us such a special wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

Survived by husband, Richard; daughters, Suzanne Stephens; Katherine (Scott) Seely; and Louise (Bill) Rudman; grandchildren, Alex and Becky Stephens; Zachary and Jeffrey Seely; Jessica, LeeAnn, and Billy Rudman; and sister, Louise Beaird.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the 1st Southern Baptist Church, 1175 W. 600 No., where friends may call from 1-1:45. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
