LDS Hospital Hearing Services is hosting a free educational seminar on the latest digital hearing-aid technology on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 6 p.m., in the LDS Hospital Education Center, Eighth Avenue and C Street.
This seminar will focus on hearing loss problems and the development of new digital hearing-aid technology products.
"This new technology has proven to be significantly more quiet, clear and reliable than previous generations of hearing devices," said LDS Hospital audiologist Michael Walker. "Patients are reporting improved conversation ability in quiet and noisy situations. Background noise is also reduced, and loud sounds are controlled better."
Although the event is free, reservations are required. For more information or to reserve a seat at the seminar, call LDS Hospital Hearing Service at 408-3125 by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4.
Individuals unable to make the seminar may make an appointment for a free in-office counseling and demonstration by calling LDS Hospital Hearing Services.
