Grace Elaine Fairbanks, 47, of Orem, UT, died instantly Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Page, Arizona in a tragic motor vehicle accident.

Elaine was born Oct. 13, 1953 in Newton County, Missouri to Joseph Edwin Watson and Vea Joan Higginson Watson. Most of her childhood was spent at Star, ID. She attended Star

Elementary, Eagle Jr. High and graduated from Meridian High School.

Elaine then attended BYU at Provo, UT where she dated, fell in love with and then married Wayne Fairbanks, the young man of her dreams since the age of fourteen. Wayne, the son of LeRoy and Elvina Fairbanks, had spent most of his youth only one mile away, on Canada Lane. On December 22, 1972, Wayne married Grace Elaine Watson in the Provo, UT LDS Temple for all eternity. Wayne and Elaine brought six beautiful children into their home, who were the light of their lives, Brenda, Adam, Bonnie, David, Daniel and

Joseph.

Elaine was always a wonderful friend, wife and mother. She always looked for and found goodness and light in everyone and everything. She will always be remembered for her contagious, beautiful smile. Her family was constantly working to help others with their needs. She spent enjoyable time working with the Utah County Journal in Springville, Utah.

Elaine is survived by her parents, Joe and Barbara Watson of Star, ID; her children, Brenda and Jamar Calloway, Adam and Lidija Fairbanks, Bonnie and Mike Anderson, and David Fairbanks, who is currently serving an LDS mission; and nine grandchildren;

three brothers, Joe (Tamara) Watson, James Watson, and Robert Watson; two sisters, Janet Watson and Karen (Paul) Tarp. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vea Joan Higginson Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000 in the Eagle, ID L.D.S. Chapel located at 700 W. State Street, Eagle.

Bishop Danny Miller of the Sharon Park 5th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate. The family will greet friends one-hour prior to the service at the Eagle LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in the Star Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel.

An additional memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000 in the Sharon Park LDS Stake Center, located at 50 East 700 North, Orem, Utah.

Elaine, Wayne, Daniel and Joseph will always be remembered with admiration and great affection by all who knew them. Memorials should be sent to the Utah County Journal on behalf of her surviving children.
