Luciano Pavarotti is scheduled to perform an April Fool's Day concert in Rochester, N.Y. Really.

The Italian tenor's first trip here on April 1 will be part of a U.S. springtime tour. Home of the Eastman School of Music, the city is a crossroads for classical music but hardly an opera hub.

"Pavarotti goes all over the world, anywhere there's electricity," said Chris Davis, the singer's promoter.
